dianne About Us

little butterflyDianne Harding

The creator of the Wiggerly Worm Dance Co, Dianne, studied ballet, jazz ballet and creative movement for 19 years from the age of 3 and has always loved to move to music.

Her enjoyment for her drama lessons mixed with dance started her on a journey to explore creative and dramatic movement mixed with education that has never ceased but has resulted in the Wiggerly Worm Dance Co.

Besides the Wiggerly Worm Dance Co., Dianne appeared weekly on the Early Bird Show on Channel 10 as a dancer representing the Early Bird Show and as a judge for the Miss Victoria Beach Girl Quest.
As a fitness leader Dianne owned and operated gyms but always had dance studios for children to keep her passion for childrens dance.

I feel that children should experience the wonderful feeling of movement through space..spinning, stretching, jumping and balancing. They can learn to use music to gain strength, to relax and show their emotions.
Over the past 20 years of performing the shows I have been privileged to work with a broad range of children and have learnt from all. I enjoy seeing the joy that the children show at their accomplishments with movement and their delight with the topics of the numbers that are chosen for them.....especially the dragon....I never tire of that one.

little butterflyAmanda Falson

Amanda has a strong background in both theatre and dance.Amanda She grew up in Sydney, completing her schooling at Newtown Performing Arts High and lived in Houston Texas for a year at age 17 where she also attended a performing arts high school. Like many little girls, she dreamed of becoming a ballerina and was inspired by her beautiful teacher, Sharon Read-Harber who instilled in her an early love of performance and the theatre. She was later accepted into VCA Drama which she graduated from in 2001. Her most notable experiences whilst at VCA included: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dolores in the Department Store, Top Girls, Mad Forest and Children of the Sun directed by the Russian Maly Theatre Company's Gregori Ditiatkovsky.
Following drama school Amanda did lots of bits of pieces including radio plays for ABC, MDA for ABC television and several short films and independent features. Most recently she has performed in Spring Awakening and Chekhov Re-cut: Platonov both for The Hayloft Project in both Melbourne and Sydney.

In 2009, after a ten year break Amanda decided to further her skills (and satisfy her passion and curiosity for human movement) and completed her Advanced Ballet exam as well as the Classical Ballet Teacher's qualification and a Cert IV in Pilates Matwork. She is currently training further to complete a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (2010).

Amanda has taught all forms of dance as well as drama to both children and adults (schools include Elance Adult Ballet where she is still on the staff today, That Dance Place, Ivy House Ballet Academy, Sandra Deacon School of Dance), and is currently setting up her own dance and movement school called Feat In Space.
